Overview
The all new FUJINON XF55-200mm lens gives users a fast F3.5-4.8 lens that produces sharp images across its entire zoom range, from edge-to-edge. Its image stabilization function enables the use of shutter speeds up to 4.5 stops slower, preventing camera shake even when shooting hand-held in low-light situations, or when shooting at a stopped down aperture. phenomenal lens
suits a wide variety of needs, i use this heavily in my landscape photography though. its light and small which means its easy to lug up a mountain side. IQ is stellar and the OIS is about 4 stops. AF is good as well. the build of the lens has a premium feel as well minus fujis awful plastic lens hoods. but that doesnt effect anything other than it feeling out of place on this stellar lensonly thing that i would recommend is that if you are trying to do astro photography is to consider a faster lens such as the fuji 8-16 or if youre on a budget the samyang/rokinon 12mm for similar focal lengths. i was able to do some astro with star trails but i would not recommend it for persons reading amazon reviews on if you can do astro with a lens haha - Reviewed by A.P. The wide angle lens for your fuji.
5Stars, if there's one thing that deserve 5 stars, that's it. Very good lense, very sharp, the OIS is amazing, I had a little bit of chromatic abberation on some pictures but most of the time it doesn't. There's almost no distortion unless you get too close to something but at this point, you're asking for it. BTW, It can focuses very close to your subject and works great even in the cold ( -10°C this weekend! and no issue). These days it's on my camera most of the time. You can do wide landscape shots with the 10mm and it'll do well too as a street/portrait lenses at 24mm. Sure there are better lenses for portrait and streets but it'll do the trick just fine.The 72mm filter size is nice too, it's the same size as the 50-140mm F2.8 From fuji which is an amazing portrait lense. Great lens if new, Amazon o pen box was a failure
Great lens, if you buy new you will not be disappointed. Hard to give it a low rating as the new from box product is tops. This was an Amazon open box and the lens would zoom on it's own if you were anything but level. My camera typically points down when not in use, and I would lose my zoom level every time. New in box, no issues. Expect better from Amazon, who have proven their retailers care about the customer experience. Returned next day. Took an extra long time to get the refund as well. Perfect complement to lenses
I am using the Fuji X Pro2 and loving it. The lenses ( Fuji 16mm f2.0, 23mm f2.0, 35mm f2.8, 18-55mm, 55-200mm) are a perfect complement to my photographic journey. The lenses are quiet, lighter, and on-par to the highe r couterparts (f1.2 - f1.4). FujiFilm has done a great job In creating cameras that people actually want to use and lenses that are point in for amazing pics. Decent glass but a bit cheap feeling for an XF lens.
Good optics but unfortunately the cheapest feeling lens of the XF line (IMHO). The body seems to be mostly plastic except for the mount & filter attachment points. The zoom ring was the stiffest I've ever used and a burden to turn. Forward end of lens extends out quite a bit at maximum zoom. However, I understand how there must cost cuts to get this much glass and O.I.S. at this price point. Otherwise image quality is good. This lens made the switch from Canon effortless.
I shoot a lot of interiors and real estate, and a high-quality ultra-wide angle lens is a must. This lens is absolutely perfect and is my go-to kit. Sharp corner to corner, excellent colour and the build quality is top-notch. Be cautious, might be a open box or previously used.
