Overview
Description:
NOTE:Images are soft when use wide-open aperture of F1.2, but will be better, not much soft, when set aperture of F2.0. It's nice to get sharpness by using wide-open aperture F2.8. Please note that using a large aperture at night will cause a little dazzle.

Excellent toy for the price
This is a review of the 32mm F1.6 lens. I mounted this on an a6000 just to see if I like having a prime lens. The camera has a very narrow depth-of-field as you can see from the attached photo. Would not use it for any moving subject as you'll never have what you want exactly in focus. Great for doing stills and learning about photography concepts (e.g. playing with shutter speed vs. aperture vs. ISO) - Reviewed by Evan Prentice (Reviewed in Canada on June 20, 2019)
Fast, smooth, manual lens.
I've had this lens in my wish list for a year. I finally broke down and picked it up. I have to say I'm impressed. The focus and aperture rings are very smooth. The glass is nice and clear. The depth of field is ridiculous. Working with a fully manual lens is interesting and only really lends itself to st atic subjects. That said, it's rewarding and interesting.Build material is all metal. The lens has some heft. It's a much nicer feeling lens when compared to the plastic kit lens. Everything fits well, and works smoothly.Given the price, this is just excellent value for a very clear and smooth lens. - Reviewed by Victor Magese (Reviewed in Canada on November 20, 2018)
Dreamy image when you push the f/stop
At higher f stops like 1.8 and higher it looses it's sharpness noticeably. I personally use this fuzzy look to create a dreamy soft image which can be quite cool if you pull it off with a good vision. Other than if you don't take it above 2.8 you'll have a great sharp image. I love this lense for the price and I always have it with me. It's build quality is excellent. Full metal with a nice chill when you pick it up in the morning..I use a Sony A7. - Reviewed by Yaghma (Reviewed in Canada on April 7, 2019)
Great Prime Lens Wi thout Breaking the Bank!
< Unboxing >The lens comes in a very simple box and comes in a leather pouch. The box just has the lens and the pouch. The lens has a cover for both the front and the back.< Build Quality >The build quality is amazing for the price. The aperture and focus rings are smooth and have ridges to make it easier to grip.< Functionality >The lens is amazing. The shots are a little bit soft at the widest aperture but overall the shots are great. The bokeh is amazing at this price. The crop isn't that bad either.< Overall >Overall, this is a great prime for beginners that don't want to spend alot for that sweet bokeh. Definitely recommend it! - Reviewed by Liam (Reviewed in Canada on August 6, 2019)
Excellent.
Great lens. Only a small part of photography is about perfection, the rest is how you articulate the imperfections. This lens then is an excellent lens to experiment with, be creative with, and enjoy taking photos with. - Reviewed by Gilbert Kwok (Reviewed in Canada on April 5, 2018)
Good quality portrait lens at a phenomenal price
This is a great lens for its price range. Very strong build, good photo quality/bokeh, and manual focus only. My only complaint is that despite its compact size, it is heavier than my 55-210mm. But then again, its made almost entirely of metal. I would highly recommend this lens to those that are looking for a quality portrait lens without breaking the bank. - Reviewed by Dom (Reviewed in Canada on September 20, 2018)
Great value
Bonkers value in this lens. Smooth controls, lots of aperture blades, tasty bokeh. Sturdy build and nice quality. My only gripe would be is it sits the slights bit loose when mounted onto my a6000. It's tight but I can juggle it around about 2mm or so. Doesn't move while shooting though. - Reviewed by Kindle Customer (Reviewed in Canada on Octob er 31, 2018)
Fun to use
It's a fun lens to use for photography. Not so much for video. Remind me my first camera a Zeiss Ikon full manual./There is some chromatic aberration between F1.7 F.2 but for the price is a great value.
